Library Services for Smithfield Residents

Residents of Smithfield may receive, at no cost, the following privileges at the Douglas and Judith Krupp Library at Bryant University:

  • Any resident 18 years of age and older may visit the library and utilize most resources on-site and borrow up to ten circulating, Bryant-owned materials.

  • Any resident under the age of 18 may visit the library and utilize most resources on-site.

  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Some services such as laptop borrowing, Interlibrary Loan, DIALOG, Reuters, and reference assistance are limited to those with current valid Bryant University IDs. Bryant students are given top priority for all resources at all times.

Residents with a current Rhode Island driver’s license (or other photo ID establishing Smithfield residency) may apply for a Courtesy Card at the Access Services Desk.  Courtesy Cards will have a one-year expiration date and are renewable on an annual basis with proper identification.
