Book and Article Requests | Interlibrary Loan
The library has access to the Worldshare Catalog. You can request books and articles and if libraries are interested in lending them, we should be able to loan them to you.
To view a tutorial click here or follow these steps:
- Click the book's title link
- Click the "Request Item" button
- Type in your last name and first name as it appears on your Bryant ID
- Type in your 14 digit barcode located on your Bryant ID
- Enter your Bryant email address
- Choose a pickup location from the drop down menu
- Click the "Submit" button
If available, the item will be delivered to the Bryant library; please share your email address with us so we can notify you by email. Otherwise, you will receive snail mail notification.
Books will be held at Borrower Services for ten days. Bryant does not charge late fees for materials. However, some libraries within the consortium do assess late fees; please remain mindful of this. Any fees and charges placed on your account by another library must be paid directly to the lending library.
Interlibrary Loan is the borrowing and lending of materials not owned by Bryant University. This service is available to current Bryant faculty, staff, and students. Please call 232-6125 or e-mail email@example.com .
Print Material requested through interlibrary loan can take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to arrive. When your material arrives, you will be notified via e-mail. All print material will be available at Borrower Services for pick up.
Photocopies of an article may arrive earlier than print material and can be sent to you electronically or in paper format. In most cases an article can be transmitted to you electronically. In the event that an article is received in paper format, we will mail this hard copy to you.
For these reasons, it is important to make sure your library account has a current campus and home address, as well as a valid e-mail address. The Borrower Services staff can assist you and update your contact information. Please stop by, call us at 232-6125 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
