Library Services Evaluation & Assessment

The Douglas & Judith Krupp Library makes every effort to maintain the highest level of service for the Bryant community.  To assist us in evaluation of our services the library uses various methods of measurement, including surveys provided to the library patrons as well as self-assessments.

Student Survey of Library Services

In the spring semester of 2017 the library distributed a survey to evaluate to what degree the library was meeting student needs and where improvements could be made.  The survey was completed by 731 undergraduate and graduate students via an online assessment tool.

Spring 2017 - Library Services for Students Assessment Report

Highlights:

  • The majority of respondents prefer to use the chat service to ask questions.
  • The majority of respondents prefer print books to electronic books.
  • The majority of respondents seek out help from library staff as their first choice for research assistance.

Library Improvements Based on Survey Responses:

  • The library has extended its weekend hours.  We are now open at 10:00am on Sundays, a frequent request.
  • The library has secured a 3-D printer and is experimenting with student usage of the printer in our creative space on the 2nd floor.
