Algebra

The Linear Algebra Toolkit
Modules like Systems of linear equations and matrices, Determinants, Vector spaces, and Linear transformations help students "learn and practice a basic linear algebra procedure, such as Gauss-Jordan reduction, calculating the determinant, or checking for linear independence."

General Mathematics

Ask Dr. Math
A question and answer service for math students and their teachers. A searchable archive is available by level and topic, as well as summaries of Frequently Asked Questions." Also offers access to a Math Library, Quick Reference, and Formulas.

Math Archives: Topics in Mathematics
An online directory of web resources that can be browsed by subject or searched by keyword. Although there are no descriptions of the websites, the site does include basic icons that indicate the recommended level of a resource (K-6 through professional), as well as the types of resource available (ie, web page, movie, directory).

The Mathematical Atlas
A roadmap to a greater understanding of modern mathematics, or as the site describes "a collection of short articles designed to provide an introduction to the areas of modern mathematics and pointers to further information, as well as answers to some common (or not!) questions." Many articles provide a brief overview of the topic with recommendations of books, articles, tutorials, software, or web sites that may cover the topic in greater depth.

Platonic Realms Interactive Mathematics Encyclopedia
An online, free mathematics encyclopedia containing nearly 1,000 entries contributed by associate editors from university math departments. Articles can be sorted by level of difficulty. Platonic Realms also maintains a searchable Interactive Quotes Database featuring math-related content-- definitely worth a look!

Quickmath
A free online service or "online calculator that solves and does all sorts of algebra and calculus problems - instantly and automatically." The web site is divided into several section, based on the type of equation or problem to be solved: Algebra, Equations, Inequalities, Calculus, Matrices, Graphs, and Numbers.

Wolfram MathWorld
Features short summaries of more than 300 mathematical terms and links to many interactive lessons (look for the "Mathematica notebook" links).

Statistics

Simple Interactive Statistical Analysis
Includes tools for statistics, calculations, and distributions that "allow you to do statistical analysis directly on the Internet." Each procedure includes a step by step user guide.
