Academic Search Premier is a database with over 3,000 full text journals in nearly all academic areas of study, including political science, history, humanities, education, arts & literature, and ethnic studies. Limit search results to specific source types including newpapers, magazines, trade publications, or scholarly peer reviewed journals.  
CQ RESEARCHER  
Background reports on "hot topics" and current and histroical events from 1923 to present.   Reports include an overview; background and chronology on the topic; an assessment of the current situation; tables and maps; pro/con statements from representatives of opposing positions; and bibliographies of key sources. CQ Researcher is an excellent place to start your research about contemporary issues or to get a topic idea. Service is limited to 5 simultaneous users.

JSTOR presents the complete runs of scholarly journals in a variety of disciplines, including political science.  Also offers eBook content and conference proceedings.  Select Advanced Search for the most search options and to limit results to "political science" topics.

An excellent resource for essays, debates, and for coming with ideas for a topic.
