Find Print Books

Library Catalog

  • Search the HELIN Library Catalog to find reference tools, books, journal and magazine titles (not the articles), multimedia, & other materials. Most materials can be delivered in 2-3 days.
  • Use an Advanced Search to locate the type of information that you are trying to find: primary sources, biography, bibliography, etc. Select "Subject Keyword Search" from the drop down. The term "Sources" is often used to identify primary source material. Also try searching for "Personal Narratives," "Correspondence," "Diaries," and "Speeches Addresses Etc."
  • Search the InRhode Library Catalog to find and request books at Brown University that are not available through HELIN.
  • Search WorldCat to search for books in libraries worlwide. Click the "Request Item" link to request items not available through the HELIN catalog.
  • Fill out an Interlibrary Loan Request to have unavailable items delivered to you from another library.
