Did you know that handwriting experts train election officials to ensure the accuracy of signatures on mail-in ballots? This is just one of many measures taken to ensure election integrity in Rhode Island. Last night, Bryant University hosted the Rhode Island Department of State for a highly informative discussion with students about voting and the administration of elections in Rhode Island. One of the key areas of discussion was about the measures to ensure election trustworthiness. Many thanks to Kathy Placencia, Director of Elections for Rhode Island, and Rob Rock, Deputy Secretary of State, for their presentation and engagement with us. (Ross Gittell via LinkedIn)
Thank you also to Eileen Sweeney, Director of Community Outreach and Engagement, and Nick Edwards, RI Department of State for organizing and allowing Bryant students to practice casting a ballot!
